Leila Mahboob, CPA, is a Senior Tax Preparer, working with medium to large businesses on their tax, financial and accounting needs, specializing in complex and multi-state tax returns. She joined BPSD in October 2013 as a Tax Preparer and was named a Principal of the firm in 2020.
At age 19, Leila moved from Iran to Los Angeles, where her first job was at See’s Candies as a lead clerk. Later, she worked as a bookkeeper for several years, before going back to school to become a CPA. Prior to joining BPSD, Leila gained her initial experience at Grant Thornton as an Auditor before moving to a couple of smaller firms, where she specialized in tax accountancy. Leila’s career goal has always been “to work hard in a good profession where I can help others.”
Leila attributes her longevity at BPSD to “the Partners and staff who are just like family. We work together as a team to get the job done – it has become like home.”
Out of the office, Leila and her husband can be found playing poker with their poker buddies every Friday night, when they aren’t traveling the world with their two “beautiful, smart” daughters.
